I spent a good hour wandering my local junkyard today just to see all the cool stuff buried in there.

I found it funny that this old Jag had towing instructions in its manual for when their cars break down:

I wish we had a large self-service yard here. One company controls most of yards here and they only have 2 self-service yards. Both of those are small and turn over their inventory fairly quickly. Their big main yard isn’t self-service and you’re not allowed in the yard itself which blows.

There is usually some interesting stuff but not a lot. It’s mostly minivans and pickups. The last time I was out there I was with my dad hunting for a part for his truck so I didn’t get to look around much but there was an old late 50s Ford Fairlane like the one he had when I was little so that was cool.
