Let me address these in the order recieved.
No, I don’t wish to feed and insure that.
Not going to make her drive a manual.
High miles I’ll never convince my wife to for that. Also if I did convince my wife to go with that and anything went wrong it’d be 100% my fault in her eyes.
I’ll be in my bunk.

That Desoto tho!

I do have to ask, if it “just” needs shocks and an O2 sensor, why haven’t they done them already?

Yeah that’s always the question. I’d definitely need to get this one professionally look at.

If that is truly all it needs, it would proll y be decent.
Nowhere near as decent as that Desoto though.

https://maine.craigslist.org/cto/d/gardiner-2003-malibu-only-miles/6896169931.html Needs some repair, but hella cheap and looks pretty clean.
https://vermont.craigslist.org/cto/d/stowe-2009-suzuki-sx4-awd/6896149057.html I know it’s a manual, but damn!

If it was what they wanted, hell yes.
My kids also started learning at 6, have been being taught since, and will be taking driving courses before getting their licenses. I would rather they drive something they love and continue the gearhead trend.

That Lesabre looks quite nice.
Also note I made 3 offerings and none were even Mopars....

I passed through Stowe once on a camping trip with my family when I was young.
I recall my mom asking us “Where are we?”
And my sister and I responded “We’re in Stowe”
My mom said “Stove? That’s a strange name for a place”
“No mom... Stowe... with a W”
My mom: “Yes that’s what I said... Stove...”
My sister and I: “STO...WAH”
My mom: “Oh... Stowe... “
And my sister and I looked at eachother like:

Solid choice, I had the corolla version and it would have been a perfect first car.

Thats good. My parents neighbor has had one forever, as in she got it while I was in high school, and I graduated in 02. Granted we dont really talk to that neighbor, but the fact that this car has been around that long must mean something good. And it sounds healthy when I see it driving up and down their street, not like some rattled out claptrap. So if the PPI goes well I'd say go for it.
