Thanks, mom.
It’s the thought that counts, I guess.

The 996 did nothing wrong!

Hey, at least she knew what it was.
My mom, who was pretty with-it and daring with cars (before I was born had a Beetle with a 912 engine, 61 Impala convertible, Ford retractable) thought the xB was a “Russian car” and confuses Infiniti with Buick (maybe not always a stretch). And even that probably beats most.

I’ll agree it’s the thought that counts, but in all seriousness that’s pretty rad that your mom can spot and ID a 996!

Hold up!! Wait. BlueMazda2!?!? How long have you been back?

It’s been 21 years of this stuff. She takes a picture of every new Ranger she sees ffs. She knows me better than just about anyone else.

A few weeks, I think.

My mom only talks about other Rialtas and has zero interest or knowledge of other cars. I found out in college she had bought an FJ40. She didn't think much of it, I am in pain.

Before monied men of a certain age got into those things (just like Porchas ), they were ordinary used cars.
My mom now drives a white on greybeige Camry and wants nothing more.

The real update: What does she drive now, and what do you drive now?

2015 Passat and tbd. She just picked it up from the VW body shop. It’s fixed. Idk if I’m keeping it, but it’s fixed and will remain with us for now.

That makes all of us

“hey I saw a really cool car today, I think it’s one of those Porsches you like so much!”

It got fixed? That’s good, but it’s also unexpected.

The damage was mainly cosmetic, surprisingly. Not nearly enough to total it, however.
