Caused by this faulty little motherfucker. It was a ma tter of 15 m inutes to change the ignition coil though. At least my car has been as good as ever since the new coil was installed. VAG life

if that was VAG life it would have taken 3 hours and required the removal of large and vital components.

Had one of these go on my MINI recently. But at least it was only $50 and I fixed it in 5 min with no tools.

It was a bit trickier on my A3 as you need a pulling tool but as we have those at work it was super easy.
