I kinda want one of these again. Find a clean one for 3k, replace all 4 air bags, replace/upgrade the turbos (or just stick to 4.2), replace TC (or find a manual transmission) to avoid the TC failure.... probably 5k all in? That would only leave the electrical gremlins, fragile valvetrain, and general VAG-iness to deal with....
Every time I see an allroad (or higher mileage BMW, or a boat, or all the other terrible things I’ve bought) I want to relapse!

Does the Allroad have the issue with the timing chain being at the back of the engine?

I think so- only under-hood things I did were an ECU tune and diverter valves. I did learn all about air bag replacement....
