Going to the Street Rod Nats in Springfield MO tomorrow with my dad, who I don’t see often enough. Post pre-1989 vehicles in celebration of my Memorial Day weekend tradition.

Tomorrow we’ll see a LOT of trailer queens. Most of those I will just pass right by with a glance. What we stop to look at are the ones that clearly see time on the road. I just can’t see dropping $ 50-100k into a car that gets driven on and off of a trailer and MAYBE 100 miles a year otherwise.  Given that - I love your Camaro.  That body style but with a split bumper is among my favorite of all time.  What is yours - about a 74?

That is a cool ride. For a long time I wanted to swap an Advanced Design Chevy truck  body onto an S10 frame.  Maybe someday I still will.

Thanks! A ‘74 had the big bumpers. The 70-73 had the thin bumpers or the split depending on if it was an RS or not. Mine is a standard ‘71.

We usually do see a few nice old Mercedes there.  Not positive, but I think we’ve seen one very much like that.
