I’ll be watching “Delhi Crime” on Netflix this evening.

I don’t care and I’ve seen all of them up to now. Haven’t really cared whenever anyone dies.
I find it entertaining, but zero investment in how it ends.

Never watched them and never will

Never seen a single episode.

cared enough to post...

I’m excited for the spectacle of salt and tears that this show produces. Pretty uninterested in the actual ending though. They already butchered all the characters I like seasons ago (in terms of writing)

Is something going on that I should know about? I've never seen an episode and don't really plan on changing that anytime soon.

Zero cares given.

I’ve watched a few minutes here and there to see what the hell everyone is banging on about.
It’s not for me.
I had two or three people ask me about GoT last night alone, when I said I don’t watch it and not interested in it. You’d of thought I’d just dropped down my trousers and pee’d on their living room floor r something.
It’s even in the news more now as a petition started to get the two writers replaced and re-write the ending . But where the writers had books to go by, the story was never completed.
Also the book readers have said the TV series is too Americanised and not true to the books.

I'm gonna watch just because I've kept up with it this long and it seems like a waste to not watch the last episode, but I really haven't liked this season much and no longer really care what happens, just want to get it over with. It's a big enough cultural thing I feel like I still need to watch it, like the super bowl or something.
![]() 05/19/2019 at 10:37 |

I never understood why people who choose not to take part in a cultural phenomenon have to brag about the fact that they are not taking part.

Haven’t watched any of it, not starting now.

Couldn’t give two, or even three craps.
Most of my watching content comes from Youtube, with the exception of The Grand Tour, Roadkill, a few series (Disenchantment, Final Space, Lost in Space) on Netflix, and a few TV series I have to find streams for (Car S.O.S., Canada’s Worst Driver, South Park, and a few others).

I’m there with you. I watched the second (I think?) season with a roommate and enjoyed it, but even then I had to ask a ton of questions to make sure I understood the context for what was happening. It wasn’t a show you could really just jump into the middle of, and I haven’t had HBO since then. That said, it is probably a show I’ll watch from the beginning someday down the road via Netflix/Amazon Prime/whatever streaming service.
I’m in the middle of watching The Wire for the first time now. So very good.

Yes, but cared about what ?

Final episode is tonight, I keep hearing on the radio.

In other news:
Scut work for my 8th graders in the last couple of weeks of class. They receive this image at about 4x6 inches and reproduce it on a sheet of 11x17 with the grids already printed.

You’ve watched a few minutes (here and there) more than I have. The couple of images I’ve seen the entire thing looks fake and contrived and I have zero interest.

... just want to get it over with...
I can relate to that sentiment. That’s how I was at the end of “ Longmire.” Though in Longmire, there were a couple of characters that I actually cared about.

I think there is some intrinsic value in not being a lemming.

Similar, though I lost interest in Lost in Space pretty quickly and Jeremy Clarkson is a knob.
I never miss Roadkill, Roadkill Garage or Hot Rod Garage. I love South Park, but it’s too irreverent for me, so I don’t watch it. Canada’s Worst Driver? Sounds interesting.
Missus and I watched the first season of Survivor with a measure of curiosity, but we watched it six years after it was first broadcast.

Missus and I are into crime drama on Netflix. Currently watching “Delhi Crime.” Very well done and interesting.

Like lurk on Oppo?

I don’t mind Lost in Space....it’s not AMAZING, but it’s entertaining. Final Space is good if you like space stuff and adult cartoons.
Canada’s Worst Driver isn’t bad, a bit gimmicky, but I enjoy it. I think it was based on a British series of a similar name?
I can’t stand Survivor...lol
Another series I really wish would come to fruition (they are trying to find a publisher) is Starship Goldfish :P

Nope, do not care.

That is awesome! I love it!

Trust me, you’re still a lemming.
![]() 05/19/2019 at 11:49 |

Am I a lemming because I’ve joined the millions who have read LOTR? I reject the label of lemming for watching a popular TV show. Choosing not to watch does not make one superior.

“I’m into this obscure Indian crime show, you’ve probably never heard of it. Pass me some raw water.”

Never seen one

You have read the LOTR t wo dozen times and then some. You are hardly a lemming. And seriously: LOTR compares to GoT?

On Netflix?

im just waiting for happy season 2
should be on my netflix shortly

I never watched it, mostly because I don’t have HBO in any form but mostly because medieval intrigue isn’t my cup of tea . Nothing wrong with it, just not into it.
But really, I’ve been struggling enough to watch the shows I want to watch already. I still have like four or so episodes of Star Trek Discovery left and I haven’t found the time to watch them. And it’s actually a pretty good show , even.
![]() 05/19/2019 at 13:29 |

You’re not alone! I o nly watched the first season and it wasn’t my thing. I like sc i-fi better I guess . Plus, there were about 50 characters, a ll with weird names - I couldn’t keep track & stopped caring.
![]() 05/19/2019 at 15:12 |

I’m not very good at watching tv.
![]() 05/19/2019 at 17:00 |

My experience with the show amounts to perhaps half a dozen screen shots, which look hokey and contrived and I would have expected exactly the outcome you describe. At least with something like Lord of the Rings , there’s a robust and enduring literary basis for it. My brother has read the entire LOTR, plus the accompanying bits, more times than he can say. Like twenty times or more. I sincerely doubt GoT is worth even 15% of that effort and, frankly, I’d not be on here trolling about LOTR. Harry Potter, on the other hand...
Lots of people watching something doesn’t make it great.
![]() 05/19/2019 at 17:02 |

I’m not either. Not in the traditional sense. If it’s on at a scheduled time, I won’t be watching it.

I’ll be listening to the used jazz CD’s I picked up this weekend. Yea for Tony Bennett and the American playbook.

I actually enjoyed Longmire pretty much all the way through. The last season was a bit much but I didn’t hate it, and yeah the difference is being invested in the characters. My golden example is always lost versus bsg, lost was all plot focused and the finale sucked, bsg was more character driven and the finale sucked but I don’t care, I’ve still rew atched it.
![]() 05/19/2019 at 23:41 |
|
BSG?
I think Longmire left
way
too much to the last hour, and spent a quarter of that hour on the sex scene with Longmire and Muffy. And I wanted more about what happened with Hank and the casino. They just rushed it too much.

Battlestar Galactica.
Yeah, pacing is hard for finales, game of thrones struggled there too although I felt like it paid off somewhat at least.
![]() 05/20/2019 at 15:06 |

Longmire needed more time to tie things up.
This BSG?
![]() 05/20/2019 at 15:40 |

No the new one.
I agree Longmire could have used more time but I was still pretty happy with it.
![]() 05/20/2019 at 17:41 |

That one woman, the psychologist that Longmire sorta/kinda hooked up with, there was some really good acting there. And that woman was drop-dead beautiful.

My co-workers talk about GoT incessantly. It makes my eyes roll impossibly far back into my head as they drone on and on. I think I watched an episode once.
