Lol, it made all of its time on the oval part of the track where there was plenty of rubber from the previous nights race. We were not very quick in the infield.

Ah that’d make  more sense lol. Either way I'd bet it was fun, I wish I had the time/resources for this because this is definitely something I'd want to do eventually

Luckily, SCCA events are very approachable and relatively inexpensive compared to any other m otorsport. I’m fortunate to be in a position financially and schedule wise where I can run both AutoX in the Miata and RallyX in...  whatever I decide to bring.

That Trans Am is completely IN it’s element. Good ol’ boys are beating those things daily on dirt and back roads all across ‘Merica. It’s so beautifully Dukes of Hazz ard and Bandit-esque it brings stars & bars shaded tears to my eyes . I’ve got to get my E34 parted out so I can get my ‘98 Z28 back on the road.....or off road in this case.

What’s done to it? Run it down the quarter yet?

It’s a mostly stock car. Stock LS1/4L60E, WS6 w heels w/Falken Azenis RT615K+ 200TW tires, Bilstein Shocks, and a big UMI front swaybar. I had been running it at autocross, hence the mods, but I bought a track prepped Miata so it’s just my daily driver now. It’s never been on a dragstrip and I have no plans to change that.

Very cool. Almost a decade ago when I bought mine, I went to the strip regularly, but haven’t taken it in ages. It got addicting though because of how well the thing responded. With nothing but a full exhaust, I went from running 13.4's at 104 to 12.9's at 107. I added a 3500 stall, full rear suspension and 3.73's, but never made it back to the track after moving up North and relying on it as my sole transportation. Once I get back around to putting it together again, I’m likely going to go iron 4.8/5.3 with a Huron Speed single turbo kit. It has gotten so Foxbody cheap to boost these things.
