Hot take: I think the DeVille has one of the best rear ends put on pretty much any car since the turn of the century .

The Eldos of those years were gorgeous and super comfy. I would totally rock one if it weren’t for the ShitStar and FWD, and I'm not even 40.

I’d be glad to own one even now. FWD doesn’t bother me in the least. It fits what these cars were supposed to be.

Li sten. The Northstar was the best engine ever. At least for the first 50k miles.

Honestly, I always read car journos loving on the Northstar. It’s kind of puzzling to me to read these POS comments.

The engines themselves were a good design but long term reliability was an issue

FWD transverse V8 is such a PITA though

They leak oil like crazy and they like to eat head gaskets. Plus, they're more complicated and expensive to repair than the LS that replaced it.

I guess? I mean, it didn’t feel that way to me when I drove one. I got the Rivera instead, and I kinda regret my choice, but it was 50% more expensive than the Buick.

I feel like this guy is me in about 15 years. All in on the old school synth jams too.
