Because it turns out the Spyder had a littler brother no one knew or cared about.

Cool place for a photo. No other redeeming qualities.

But what about looking like you’re from the future?
Nah, you’re right.

Who knew the future would have such a shortage of wheels. And here we are in 2019 wasting wheels like we’ll never run out!!!

I’ve seen Jeeps with a bonus 5th wheel just strapped to the back!

For w
hen you want all the danger of a motorcycle, but without the thrill of leaning into corners

Cam-Am Ryker - Because your single-ply pride can’t take the thought of not getting your cycle endorsement and you already told your buddies you had financing secured for a harley.

a trike.

That’s what the ugly thing was that I’ve seen at work! I had just been describing it as a smaller, weirder looking spyder.

All the fun of not being seen in traffic, not having a crash structure around you, getting rained on, burning in the hot, freezing in the cold of a motorcycle combined with needing full parking spaces and not having the fun of leaning in turns. Sweet.
That was my analysis after riding my friend’s Spyder. It’s rides like a less fun snowmobile with none of the advantages of a car or a motorcycle.

Why must the stupid laws require these things to be trikes? I would hoon the shit out of a quad set up like this. Oh wait, only comes with a CVT, hard pass.
Wish I would have followed through with my plans to throw street tires on my 700xx before I sold it.

Had... it is a new-born little brother, just 6 months old.
Half the weight, and a third of the price of a luxury-touring Spyder.
I kind of really want one.
If it tilted and leaned, I would REALLY really want one.
No low-sides, almost high-side proof also. Granted, no lane splitting, though... but avoiding most issues that cause motorcycle single-vehicle accidents is a safety plus... and not tipping over like a Reliant Robin in a turn is also a good thing, with two wheels in front, rather than a single wheel up front.
Makes the rear drive simpler, also, just a ring gear drive, rather than a differential and splitting the torque between two rear wheels.
It could look a little sleeker, but frankly it is a world better than the Polaris Slingshot, and at least you ride on it, rather than sit in it.
I like a manual shift... but there is also something giddy and fun about twist-and-go, sort of like a golf cart or ATV... but capable of road speeds and highway travel.
It may in fact be a vehicle that could redeem the use case for a CVT... and I could see the 600cc version add a hybrid assist for torque boost and regenerative braking , in the space that the 900cc version’s third cylinder.

Maybe I’d buy one if it came with a beard.
