Watch this... then you’ll understand these.
...it’s so unique to the Supra that GM has been doing this for the past 20-30 years, lol.

Doug doesn’t believe any car has existed before 2010.

Doug the type of guy who
Thinks Motorcraft pays Ford for mentions in Ford owners manuals
Doesn’t know what a powder room is
Rags on Montana plate tax evasion, then reviews tax-evading cars with Montana plates
Has no capacity for op-sec
Thinks the Cherokee is the quintessential Jeep

You’re jealous because Doug gets more clicks.

What’s a supra bag?

Doug is always trying too hard, but also trying as little as possible.

When Toyota decided not to build their own straight 6 or even consider their 3.5l V6 as a stop gap, I stopped caring about the Supra

He also deleted the entire driving portion of that video, and scratched the leather.

he deleted it because he’s woke

I watched his review of an Lagonda because I was curious about Lagondas at the time, but I thought Doug was a bit dopey.

When the 300Z came out and they’d dropped their I-6, I was in the Army and this idiot lieutenant had one and took a bet from me _for lunch_ that his car had an I-6 and we walked out to the parking lot, with another lieutenant as a witness, and LT Doofus was proven wrong and he never bought me lunch. Lieutenant Ron Huther, United States Army.

If he doesn’t have a database of quirks and features to cross reference when he writes these (I doubt he does, just for quirks and features, maybe on a per review basis ) he’s going to be saying a lot of things about car history that won’t hold up over time.

Doug ha s been trying too hard for a while now.
Y ouT ube has received a massive load of Supra content lately and everyone is trying to be the fastest sperm. So this was sort of inevitable.

He’s trying too hard, period, full stop, end of sentence.
He finds ‘quirks’ that have been on cars for the past two or three decades.

If you reading this Lieutenant, at least send O.C. a microbrew 6-pk!

This shot really shows you how compact the car is. Granted, Doug is a tall guy but still.

I never like the looks of the previous generation supra, such a pig of a car.

If he’s only a bit dopey now then he’s doing a lot better than back when he was writing or Jalopnik. Where he was VERY dopey and usually not too funny. Sometimes he had a gem though.

Sc’s and supras share a chassis(minor suspension and chassis differences but overall the same) , can confirm they handle like a muscle car. Th is understeering wallow is only exacerbated with lower suspension and more power.

Imo it's a poor design to have red blinkers.

I didn’t know that, now it makes much more sense. 10/10 I would rather an SC than Supra. From that era I’m much more a fan of a Z32 or an RX7.
![]() 05/13/2019 at 14:24 |

Would definitely buy a n rx7 over a supra if I had that kind of money, sadly it seems like all the 90's cars are headed back up from the bottom of their depreciation curve.
That rx7 body is in the top 10 sexiest designs next to the Bugatti type 57 Atlantic.

Agreed. I've been cursing GM on this for years.

I bet there are some late 80's turbo II’s out there, but a running FD? Probably not going to find less than $20k.

P lenty are still running, they are known as LS swaps

Yeah, I mean, he’s just not
telegenic
, though our curiosities can overlap at times. I’m very picky about how I waste my time and Doug just doesn’t make the cut.
