I’ve been lurking and active since back when autoblog was better than Jalopnik. (It actually was). Back when 2 wheels good and the other sub blogs had regular posts. Back when you could post things without being in the greys. Back when Doug started to become a thing even though friends who worked with him at Porsche were telling me about how he’s a jerk/ass/annoyance.

I’ve been on Jalopnik at least since 2011, but no clue about oppositelock.

I believe I had started reading Oppo in the 2010 timeframe and then had authorship starting in 2012, which at the time I had owned a Honda Civic and this is what created my username. So that would have made me 20 or 21 at the time depending on what time of the year.

The only thing that I miss from back then was the “best of” posts that were regularly put together. That was the number one reason I enjoyed reading Oppo and I also wanted to start posting in order to make it onto that curated list. I recall spending hours out of my day reading those posts when I should have been studying for exams instead.
