My wife gave me a birthday present
Much better. Next I need to do something about that horrible stock muffler. I have settled on the Yoshimura slip on, but need the $500. In honor of our own Peter Black, former SV Wrangler and motorcycle Prof, I blew my slip on money on some safety gear. Upgraded jacket And armor.

I just wish the kit for my FZ wasn’t such a pain in the ass. the stock plate mount attaches to the swingarm, so to relocate it you need to replace the axle and left axle block and make sure everything is aligned properly. I’ll just leave things as they are.

Ugh. I need a new jacket soon. I live in a snow state so the powersports dealerships clearance out inventory at the end of the season and I think I need to drop another 4-500$ on a long distance jacket again. This one served me well, but it’s really heavy and didn’t quite fit perfectly to begin with and I want something with better armor. Granted, when I was just toodling around town at 45mph on an old Honda it didn’t matter much that I “only” had some back plate armor and reinforced elbows. Co nsidering most people still ride around in a tank top, I figured I was doing pretty good. But eh......probably should get the right jacket for 100+ mile trips now.
