That is to say, I’ve been doing some drinking, but today they are synonymous.
The NSX Type-R came out a few years after the first-gen NSX was released.
It’s been a few years since the current NSX came out. I personally really like the way the NSX looks but it’s time to give it the full Type-R treatment with some more ridiculous bodywork, wings, engine hardware/software upgrades, and a new exhaust made by the guy from Yamaha who made the Lexus LFA exhaust.
Charge extra for it, say you’ll only make a limited amount, and everybody’s happy.

As stupid as it sounds, I want to see a NSX with a detuned Honda INDYCAR motor shoved into it while retaining the NSX’s hybrid system. Perfect way to tie their INDYCAR program in with their production cars.

What if they made the type R a lighter, simpler setup? Rwd no hybrid tech, remove a couple hundred pounds, add some aero, lighter wheels, better rubber.....

Aw hell yeah I’d be okay with that, too. Honda going back to its high RPM, naturally aspirated roots? Fucking right!
If they went this route with the NSX Type-R I would definitely want a CR-Z Type-R, and all they would have to do is stick the K20 in it (basically the old Civic Si setup), take other things out, and then charge more for it.

The NSX is all Hype-R and no Type-R so far :(
If it was $100k and competed with the base 911 Carrera on specs & practicality, we’d have a totally different sales volume. Also, stick shift.

That’s the idea, but without the stancing and paint-slick tires.
Maybe add a (functional) hood or roof scoop, and it should be in that ridiculous yellow that many Integras came in. Then we’re talking business!

Ohhhhh on second thought forget the NSX, I'll sign up for a CR-Z Type-R too!

They also need an NSX-T and a lower price.
