I asked for people’s opinions the other day, but to be honest my heart was set on the bike the minute I saw it. And now it’s my first bike! 1988 Honda Hawk 650, aka RC31. I bought it in Columbus this morning and drove it back up to Cleveland, and aside from being freezing and miserable the whole time (and running out of gas on I-71), the bike is perfect! It’s so light and responsive, the seating position is great, and it sounds awesome with the uber rare (and period correct) Two Brother Racing c arbon exhaust.

Good looking bike! Have fun with it. It's rained here all week, but I can't wait for the spring weather to really hit and ride most days a week.

2 bros is like the rough country kits for trucks. they work in making noise/looks. actually junk as actual performance items.
but it being period makes it SO much cooler

I see you’re like me. You ask for advice, then ignore it and get what your heart wants, anyway. XD
Fantastic choice! Only advice I’d give is to occasionally run a can of carb cleaner in the tank. So I’ve been told by guys riding for decades, this can extend the time between when carb cleans are needed. Not sure if they're right, but hey, a can is only three dollars.

Yep, that’s how I’ve ended up with most of the vehicles I’ve owned! And thanks for the tip, I’ll be sure to do that!
