If you’ve a couple of hours to go. Get back to bed and try to sleep how you normally do, if you can’t, try and sleep on the other side, give it five to ten minutes and then roll back to your normal sleeping position and take slow deep breathes.

i might have been.. but not that i know of

and on the MIL...she should have never been released from hospital so soon....if the missus hadnt been there she’d probably be back in the emergency care unit by now

she can do everything she always did and make conversation and shit... but her memory is shot and she forgets to eat or drink

basically higher cognitive took a hell of a punt and she should have gone to a specialized stroke ward

They usually have some home visits to assess what she can and can’t do, what she needs, etc... if you think she needs support, get in touch with her GP straight away and keep at them.

Make sure you stress how much she isn’t eating or drinking, the last thing she needs is a UTI from lack of f luids.

Things are stretched in many areas so they are getting people out sooner in some places than they would of liked.

She needs to make sure the doctor and social worker know she can’t stay there and her mother needs home care or temporary residential care assessment , etc...
