Also, Ronin was great, but the chase involving the  M5 which was actually an E34 but hey I’m an idiot  was a smidge too long. Solid movie overall, would recommend.

As I clicked this I was gonna bitch about Ronin’s M5. I like both and the Ronin M5 is technically a E34 Dinan I believe and was owned by the director.

Durrr I’m an idiot, yes it was an E34 in the movie. Still would rather an E28 or E34 over an E39 at this point.

Fortunately, there is no wrong answer here . Anyway, my  personal favorite is the E34.

Not a problem. I forget car stuff all the time. Personally.... I’d have a 740i Sport E39

Eh... they're both kinda meh by modern standards. Soft suspension and brakes and the engine is just ok. I know, I know, it's still 300hp and 400hp, but you can find that now in a Camry and a truck.

I’ve driven many Camrys and Id take even a 525 or 325 from that era. Brakes are such an easy upgrade, and those cars handle much more fun than any camry will

Fully agreed. If I could trade my E34 for an equivalent E28 I absolutely would

Meh. The recirculating ball steering box is ok, but kinda not great. I've driven a few e28 and e34s. I like them. They're good. Better than a Camry of course. But they aren't great by modern standards.

It doesn’t seem great until you’re actually at speed, but when you’re going 100 on the highway or on some backroads the feedback is awesome. Obviously its not as tight as the more modern hydraulic racks, the one in my Z3 is worlds tighter and quicker. Despite the Z steering rack being much better though, I really love the feeling of the recirculating ball especially at higher speeds. Plus compared to an F30, I’d say its actually better feel lol

Especially on the street where you don’t need much power, I’ll always take an older fun rwd car than a modern FWD box that can outdrag it
