I was convinced by the Oppo community not to buy a Mercedes GLA from copart. Half of you said that copart cars are bad investments, and others said that a 2016 GLA is not an upgrade from a 2009 ML. We listened to the first half and ignored the second.

We just secured this 2016 GLA for $23k from Maryland, nearly fully loaded. Check out this sticker:

So, now we have two new additions to the family (My dad just bought a 2019 Acura RDX A Spec). As for our salvage rebuilt Civic and the 2009 ML, those are being sold to a family member. To think, just 6 years ago we lived in an apartment in the Bronx and owned a 2005 Maxima.

If you like it then good for you! How many miles? PPI? Clean title?

Notes for your ownership: stay on top of maintenance . Follow the manual exactly. By TIME and mileage. Make sure to rotate your tires every 5k. They’re heavily front drive biased and at over 200hp they can wear out front tires quickly.

Based on the VMI it’s had consistent dealer history and all recalls have been performed. So that’s great! And original factory warranty expires 2/1/2020, or 50k miles, whichever comes first.

Looks like a much better purchase than one from copart. We really don’t see many big issues on these, even at higher mileage. Mostly just little nitpicky things.

thanks. This car is mothers day gift for my mom (her ML was a 2016 mothers day gift). My dad and I have to stay on top of maintenance for her. It has 36k miles rn and a clean title. We had a ppi done by a mechanic friend of ours out in MD. Were actually going to go see it today for the first time

I can’t work because I have no way of getting to and from a job and my dad is disabled and can’t work and my mom can only get a job at Sam’s club and she’s the only one working to support a family of five and pay bills on our house after being financially controlled by my shitty grandparents...life is good. Happy for you guys, if anything this is just more motivation for me

I don’t work either. I resell, restore, and customize sneakers, and the money from that goes towards bills and personal stuff

Yeah, well I’m too broke to even get sneakers to restore or anything of that sort, not just sneakers lol...but trust me, the moment there’s a window I’m jumping through it. Besides, next school year I found a school and it’s an automotive one too with industry certifications and whatnot so hopefully that bears fruit. I’m not just sitting and complaining; I’m sitting and complaining AND looking for opportunities and taking them when I can lol
