If for no other reason than so I can get a license plate that says “PP STNG”
It’s also arguably a great car, but nonetheless

PP2 GT’s get you a lot of car for the money. A friend of mine is considering one. He's also looking at a GT350. Think he’s leaning towards the Shelby but we’ll see.

that is an awesome car - would love one - kinda liked the “track pack” terminology better that the whole “PP2" name.

The PP2 is basically a Shelby lite, although it has GT350R tires on it. The next car is going to be 6 speed/RWD, it’s gonna probably fall around the GTPP2/SS1LE/GT350. Id like to go new but who will know if any of these are available from the factory in 2-3 years. I don’t think you can go wrong with either, depends on which engine/driving dynamic you’d rather have. It seems like the PP2 is a bit more friendly day to day, especially if you outfit it with a more street oriented tire.

It will depend on availability in 2-3 years for me. I’d like to go new but I’d imagine 20-21 will be the PP2/gt350/s550 platform swan song.
