It actually happened. The CA DMV process there is weird. You are greeted at the door by a person who asks you why your there and makes sure you have the right paperwork (if it’s a simple thing). She then gives you a paper to take 5 feet over to the next counter where they do a similar thing but give you a number. Then you wait for you number. This time the lady working the front laughed when I told her what I was there for and how many times I had been there. She said “I’m not even going to ask you more questions because you’d just be wasting your words!”. On my way out, she asked how it went and I said “I got plates! I’m done!” and she gave me a high five.
