If the person is a repeat offender , or is grossly in violation of a handycap spot (halfway in the spot, or fully occupying the spot without a handicap tag) then by all means, hammer them. But I think this is a pretty humorous warning to someone like the truck pictured who maybe just made a mistake or was slightly careless in their parking attempt.

Tow them to a different spot so they aren’t blocking the handicap spot . Then ticket them. Leave the coloring sheet to help them next time.

I have no problem with peo ple getting tickets for blocking these spots, even a little. This is fun and all but I think most people need a real life lesson here not some passive aggressive laughter at their expense.

They don’t even write tickets for assholes without permits in handicap spots more often than not. (Despite it being a $250 fine.)

It took me a minute to realize that this wasn’t targeting bad parking in general, but only specifically because the neighboring space was a handicap one. And it makes me feel sad because the real problem is not about who they’re parking next to; it’s that people aren’t trying hard enough to park in their own space. There were probably a dozen other over-the-line parking jobs in that same lot, who didn’t get any such warnings. But FWIW, I suppose I can at least enjoy the fact that they went after the worst offender, though.

Oh, okay, well that’s just lame, or lazy .

I have to drive over to a different base today to pick up something , and parking there is awful and as a universal rule base police love to write tickets for any infraction, real or perceived. I’m being told that they now have a designated waiting spot in front of the particular building I need to go to where I can leave my car with flashers on for 5 minutes or less to go pickup what I need to pickup. It smells like a trap...
