I finally got around to driving up Decker Rd (The 23 from PCH to 101) for the first time since the Woolsey Fire a few months ago. The road was in decent shape and there wasn’t much traffic so it was still a good drive. It was drastic how different it looked though. Just about every house on that road had burned and there was also a ton of new green around as well. Quite the contrast from about a year before the fire:

Another difference of note is that California just officially ended the last drought on 2019/03/12 and you’re in a zone where it ended earlier than much of the state.

I drove that a fair amount in the 80's. I remember the PCH side being more like the after fire video tha n the 2018 video . It will take a while for the tall trees to grow back and overhang the road, but the 6 foot high brush will be back in 3 y ears given at least average rainfall .
It’s amazing how the grass comes in so well.

That's assuming it doesn't all burn again this coming summer. Seems to be bad every year which is the problem.
