I’ll be there April 6-11. Any recommendations for things to do? Is the auto museum worth going to?
For your time as always

Too much to do in San Diego. If you got time, hit up the museums at Balboa Park, and just Balboa Park in general. O f course got the beaches, USS Midway Aircraft carrier museum, San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park, Sea World, etc.
Gaslamp in the city proper in the evening as well.

I can say the air and space museum is cool.

The auto museum is probably the least impressive part of the Balboa Park museums but it’s next to the aerospace museum so you can do them together.
As for non-automotive events, San Diego is pretty well known for it’s beer scene and on the 6th, there is a festival in North Park .

Well if you get bored you can always hang out at some dealerships and wait for Mr. QUirkS aND fEaTuRes himself to show up.* San Diego’s probably got loads to do though so hopefully you won’t get to that point.
*don’t actually do this

The Automotive museum is very meh. If you have time to go to LA, I recommend the Peterson Automotive Museum. The Aerospace museum is much more interesting. But you can spend an entire day at Balboa Park.
The Zoo and Safari Park are both great.
La Jolla Cove, for the seals, sea lions and tidepools.
North Park, University City, Adams Ave, Liberty Station and Little Italy if you love beer and/or you’re a foodie.
Coronado if you like to sit on the beach, or Torrey Pines if you want to walk the beach and d o a light hike.
If you like malls, Westfield UTC near La Jolla is the best in San Diego. Though the Carlsbad Outlets are good too.

Local SCCA chapter is hosting autocross at the stadium on April 6 & 7. Highly recommend, it’s a great venue.

Head down to Tijuana for an afternoon, it’s super easy...you can walk across the border.
Motoring wise: drive up Palomar mountain, great roads, awesome views and you can visit the observatory.
