ETA: I never even really knew what the song was about. Now I at least get the acrobat part. Still not sure on the National part. I’m going to go with a combination of JimZ and RamblinRovers responses.

I would assume “national” in the sense of a national champion,
or e.g. an Olympian. The one sperm that somehow makes it through out of millions - something special
... or something.
