TIL that if anyone tells you that BMW has lost their way, they’re bullshitting.

If BMW hasn't lost their way, they definitely lost a bet or two.

They have mostly “ l ost” their way. Excluding their real M level cars I have been mostly disappointed by their recent offerings. They lost the sharp edge across their entire lineup but have a couple models worthy of the roundel up front.

I think the main reason people are saying BMW lost their way is the steering in the E9X feels so much more communicative than the steering in the F8X. I have driven both cars, albeit my time in an F8X was limited; however, I could immediately tell that the steering in the F10 M5 was hydraulic .

yeah, our 2002 325i overheated, so we sold it to a couple kids who rebuilt it and race it. After that it took a MONTH of test driving a LOT of cars to find out we want ed a2012 335i . Such a pleasure to drive. Fast when you want it, but a nice ride any other time. BMW had it going on in 2012, and now you’re telling me that in 2026 when I need another one, they’ll have some nice stuff laying around? Thanks!
