Bad luck is following my car.

Yesterday I drove through a hailstorm in Lebanon, Missouri. There’s hail damage on the hood, roof, trunk, front passenger fender, both passenger doors, and rear passenger quarter panel. Oh and the windshield has at least 20 chips, from what I’ve counted.

Yay.

I got an quote for the damages. The body guy told me it’s guaranteed to be totaled , but I should get the estimate by the end of the day.

It’s definitely a thought, although depending on how much they give I might get something that’s not 14 years old with 218k miles

There’s a good chance they’re all totaled, yes. I’m thinking either not do anything with insurance or buy back, but I guess we’ll see.

That seems to be a strong consensus , although I will mention it’s still a 14 year old car with 218k miles and rust.

You’ll have to crunch the numbers of course, but it’s just as good a car now as it was 3 days ago, it just might not look as nice.

I know I stopped after the storm, I’m like this isn’t bad but the car was wet so it was hard to tell. As soon as it dried I knew it was bad.

My car has hail damage all over, but i ts’ 12 years old and runs great. Life’s too short to worry about crap like that.
