I have ADHD.

Don’t get me wrong, I fucking loved both my Mustangs. It’s still easily one of the best cars money can buy. But the reality is the running costs of autocrossing and tracking a Mustang were starting to add up as life caught up with me. Buying a house and planning a wedding have taken some priority in the finances which had led me to start considering cutting back on the car activity.

At the end of the day I didn’t want to accept that. I love driving, especially performance driving, so sacrificing power and some conveniences to get into inexpensive wearables brought me here. Now I feel like I can do as much autox as my heart desires and attend more track days, while still maintaining a high degree of financial freedom to do the things I want to do with my house and future wife.

Another Mustang is very, very likely in my future. I still have my sights set on the GT350. But I’ve never been one to get attached to a particular car, a Mustang is a Mustang aND  the supply will always be plentiful.

Totally with you on the Mustang consumables. Autocross tires in Mustang sizes are no joke. I kind of cringe every time the Miata guys are talking about having to get more tires, because what they spend on a set will get me one tire...

I bought a full set of wheels + tires for the FRS last night. It was $50 less than just tires would have been for the Mustang.

Currently the Falken RT615K+ (ssc tire) is $128 each. Currently the Direzza ZIII for the mustang is $275
