My wore down shift knob I fixed up.

Take notice to paper. R = Race, right?

Nissan glues it on, so I could not take it off. I brought the paint booth to the car. I sanded it 1st then hit it with some bronze, when the clear coat was wet I put very light black on. Hoping it has black sparkle on the bronze. That set then one mlew coat of clear.

There was no easy way to do it, keep layering it around until it vaguely resembles a circle & it covers enough of the area I don’t want paint on.

I think I would have done a layer of tape before the box, just because it would have been easier to get that line right. then box, then tape to fill between the box and the inital layer of precise tape.
