I have experience with this. My first back spasm I was about 26. Now I'm 55 and my back is pretty happy, but I also do lots or core strength exercise and give myself several back adjustments per day. Back spasms are very painful.

I pulled mine a week ago. I’m just getting back to moving semi normally. I sympathize. Seems to be the season...
Hope you get better soon.

That is about the time I had my first issue. Had to go to ER and get a toreadol (sp?) shot. Those things are glorious, but like all good things you can’t have too many of them. Stretching and core exercises.

Did mine last week. Seemed to have sprained it (didn’t even think that was a thing) while working out.

Get well soon. I threw out my back about 5 years ago riding one of the coasters in Six Flags, it was an older wooden one and really shook us up . I spent the rest of the day in the medical centre while my friends were out enjoying the rest of the rides. Well at least I got to ride the fastest one just before that . I haven’ t been on roller coasters since, was fine before that. I guess that was the breaking point.
Time, rest, ice packs and light stretching.

A few years ago I was helping my uncle install an electric fence for the horses, at the gate we needed to go under ground. As I used a pick axe to get through the rocky soil, the axe lodged in the dirt and I pulled up on it, and there went my back. I couldn’t stand all the way straight, hurt to cough, laugh, and lift my arms.
That’s the one time I know for sure chiropractic seemed to work, as relaxed as I could, the dude cracked my back like stepping on a bag of Fritos.
My dad has had two back surgeries and bless my mom for taking care of him through those.
Good luck and get well soon.

I had my first back spasm when I went to put a gallon of milk back in the fridge. Just try to keep moving. A walking stick helps.

oh, that sucks. i feel your pain. if you can, keep moving around gently as that can loosen things up better than sitting/laying. bending over to grab the laundry basket was my nemesis for years.

Back pain sucks. It seems like we can lift pickup trucks over our heads and twirl them around, but lift your elbow too high whilst shaving and end up in a heap on the floor. My last back thing was from popping a connector onto a gau ge cluster. Didn’t hurt till the next day but I knew what I did. Feel better.

go see your GP stat!
you don’t need pills/potions/surgery
they can give you a print out for specific back stretches
works for me anyway.
