Kinda proud of myself. It wasn’t all that difficult actually.
Theres not 1 but 2 jack stands under the frame, as I know it looks like it’s just the bottle jack.

The 10
mm
is still at large.

Where TF did that sucker go???
Also, you’ll be sore tomorrow. I’m always way more hurt than I expect to be after anything that requires removing a wheel.

I think the 10mm got snapped by Thanos or something.
Considering I was feeling it this morning as we were pulling bundles of wiring up through some conduit, yeah it’ll be a slow morning.

anyone who uses a T-wrench on their lug nuts is alright in my book!

I think brakes are one of my favorite things to work on. Decent access to the components (take off the wheel and there it is) , good parts availability (because it’s a maintenance item) , and satisfying results.

Thats a lug wrench.
This is a t-wrench
(im a tool correcting person :P “hex key set, not allen wrenches” )

1st gen powerstrokes are deceivingly
easy to work on :)

Everything is so large! Like full rachet swings and all. Shocks? 3 bolts. 1 up top and two at the bottom and one even has an anti swing arm so technically just 1 at the bottom. Smart thinking.

Yea they went and made everything pretty well. If i dont need to take a wheel off i dont even have to jack it up.
Too bad the motor only makes like 210hp

With a stock tune. Though 500lbs of torque... Once she makes boost she pulls angry. The turbo spool and blow off is intoxicating.

Mmmm, makes me miss my 7.3. I still love the sound.
Also, heyyyyyy, those aren’t period-correct mirrors! (And I like it! Do the lights work?)

Except for anything near the back of the motor. I was 8 years into ownership of my 7.3 before I bought a topside creeper. 8 years of standing on the bumper, falling off the bumper, and laying on top of a surprisingly pointy and sharp engine. I’m a slow learner.

very true. 7.3s have a distinct sound.
My straight pipe side exit is pretty good

If i had one worth anything i would have slapped a bigger
turbski on it

Good on you!
It still amazes me how many people on here have not done simple things like this. Like holy shit, I learned to do this stuff when I was like 12!

The previous owner had them swapped in. The lights did not work but I wired in some myself. Rather than deal with the flasher relays they just stay on as side/clearance markers
