So i have this 2009 VW GTI for a few days. 100K miles, APR exhaust, tune, HAWK HPS brakes pads. It s a LOT of fun. I’m happy to report I havent forgotten how to drive a stick, and having this for my commute for a few days made me realise its not THAT bad to live with (fair is fair thoguh, traffic is been suspiciously light these past few days)

if my mom didnt have to use it in the winter, I would 100% buy a S4 with a stick to daily.

if a car I want doesnt come with a stick (say, IS-F) it wouldnt bother me too much.

meh. you can say that for anything. any VW’s i’ve been in touch with have all been reliable interms of electronics. This one likes to eat wheel bearings though. (likely result of agressive alignment and track use)

A lot of the VW crowd gives this generation shit for being round and complicated, but I’ve always had a soft spot for them. It’s what sparked my love for GTI’s.

its a lot of fun. I like it. 8/10 would grab as a fun daily if my IS250 bites it. If only it was AWD and had a proper sized turbo so I dont have to change it for more then 260 HP
