Received mail today in this special envelope. Ominous right? Guess what was in it.

Somebody ripped up our precious junk mail! Buy something one time and  they bug you for life.

I can’t remember ever buying anything from Cheaper than Dirt, and yet I get a catalogue every month. I think anyone who once owned a shitty Romanian AK automatically gets signed up.

I can’t get them to stop sending me daily email spam and the “unsubscribe me” button is always a broken URL, which I am pretty sure violates the CAN SPAM Act

I suspect that this is not for your benefit, but was merely an object lesson involved in a superior reading one of your local carriers the riot act. Making him go through the damaged mail process with a known piece of junk mail anyway to amplify the shame , because it doesn’t matter, we do not let mail get fucked up.

Eventually my interest drifted to more modern firearms and I let it expire, but there was some interesting stuff out there for relatively little money at the time.

I’m in kind of the same boat. I’ve had mine for about 6 years now and acquired most of the weird, old guns that I really wanted.  Everything I want now is either unavailable or out-of-sight expensive.  I’m actually up for renewal in April and I’ll probably do it anyways, but not sure what else I’d be buying with it at this point.
