The Wrecking Crew! I hadn’t thought of them in a while. Reading his wiki entry is amazing. Just the “Selected performances” section is kind of mind blowing when you see all of the different genres. Hell of a musician.

I don’t know much about the current music scene but I assume that there are house bands like there used to be but there don’t seem to be groups like the Wrecking Crew, Funk Brothers, Swampers and MGs that had huge reputations even outside of the industry.

My wife told me he died and I immediately thought of the wrecking crew, not sure if he was one of them. Ps, we saw a Beach Boys show last year and it was fun.
