When I left the fire department in 2009, I went to work for an environmental contractor. One of our business lines was biohazard clean-ups. Probably cleaned up around 100 crime/suicide scenes. Don’t do it. The trauma it c auses in your heart doesn’ t creep up or come piece by piece, yo just wake up one day and you’re all fucked up. I made a shitload of money at that gig, we got hazard pay on top of a great hourly wage, so I made like $50.00/hr on those jobs. I’d give it all back today if I could, just to never have seen all that terrible shit and broken families, etc...

I’m sorry, I’m not seriously considering it. F rom the outside I just found it funny, as I never expected to find a listing like that with what I was searching. Something like that certainly raises a lot of uncomfortable questions, but I don't have any experience so its easy for me to laugh.

Don’t get me wrong, organizing entrails effectively had me giggle out loud at my desk. And I do have a TON of funny stories from that job, if humor and grossness together make you laugh... For every sad or bad job, there was at least one where everybody working the scene, from first responders to the clean-up guys, stood around laughing and asking WTF?
