Is this worth anything?

ASUS GTX 650 Ti

I bought it a few years ago to bump up my rendering power on my machine but it never got a long great with it. My current rendering card is a GTX 570 thats working fine and what I’ve read online seem to suggest that the 570 is actually the better card so its not worth it for me to trade it around.

It’ s basically new but old. Anyone?

I’ve also got an old and new case that I need to get rid of if anyone wants to pay shipping.

I have the module for hard drives that goes in that slot as well as the side covers (clear on both).  One is HUGE, the other is pretty big but way older.  Bad power supply on the bigger computer fried it when it shorted against my display card (not the one above).

welp.. i have a gtx 750ti wich was about $150 when i got it new several years ago

sooo im guessing its not worth much

(but im sure one of oppos people that actually know what they’re talking about will come along shortly and either confirm or deny that)

Almost tempting. I checked out the GPU benchmark charts, and it looks like it would be slightly faster: https://www.videocardbenchmark.net/compare/Radeon-HD-5770-vs-GeForce-GTX-650/6vs2155

Probably not quite worth the 7% gain, though. :(

The case up top was what I used to have. It isn’t compatible with ATX motherboards for some reason (missing a post), unless that’s a design refresh (unlikely). It’s a 2000s era design.

Being missing a post isn’t really a huge deal. If you really needed support there, there are plastic standoffs that just pop into the MB to provide support without screwing into the case. That said, I had both the mini-tower version of that case, and the full-tower predecessor, and don’t recall any compatibility issues with either.

You couldn’t pay me to take it at this point. It combines crappy performance with excessive power draw. Also I have similarly crappy things around already (just sent my Radeon 2900 Pro to the electronics recycling earlier this year, but I have a number of other old cars kicking around ) .

That’s correct.  I was not aware of the existence of the plastic stand offs at the time. :p
