i dont much like being on the truck lane
Prepositions are fascinating to me. American English tends to say “in the truck lane” but I’m not sure about British English. But we would also say “I’m in the street” which can sound to foreigners as “I’m embedded in the roadway” (vs saying “I’m on the street” which is a little awkward to us).
Just to confuse things further, most Americans say “Standing in (a) line” for queuing, but rare pockets of people (mostly NYC) will sometimes say “standing on a line” which completely breaks my brain.

dis why i dont much like being on the truck lane
Don’t worry, I’m not here to pick apart the spelling or grammar. What caught my eye here is the distaste for the “truck lane”. Assuming th at “truck lane” is just another term for the default travel lane (as opposed to “passing lane”)... y ou gotta admit, the wording here almost makes it sound as if it’s coming from someone who has a tendency to hog the passing lane . It’s kind of like how people will sometimes refer to “slow” and “fast” lanes, and get too offended by the notion of being in the “slow” lane to drive there even when it’s clear . Eh, I’m probably just reading too much into this...

It’s also in a lane if you’re in the UK. On the other hand, it’s on a street and in a queue.

I nteresting . See, I’m used to seeing trucks hogging the middle lane. It’s their way of trying to avoid changing speed in order to accommodate ramp traffic, especially along stretches where there’s one exit per mile . And when there are a lot of trucks, enough to populate the rightmost lane to the point where it can be recognized as a “truck lane”, they don’t agree on speed enough for there to even be just one “truck lane”.

pretty much all trucks on the road here are limited to 90kmh i think..might be 100.. not sure
every now and then one just has to overtake another one coz his truck will do 91 and a half instead of 90... takes forever
