Won’t bu y gt sport or ps4 out of principle. Was pissed when I got internet after not having it for a year and popped in gt6 thinking I’d have an awesome update with all the gt vision cars and various improvements. What I got was a server error. They shut down the servers and didn’t even email people in warning.

You should still be able to download the latest patch version with all the latest content from the PSN servers, no? From what I understand the online play servers were shut down, which is understandable.

As far as I have seen there is no way to update as they shut down more than just the online racing servers. If you know of a way to download the latest patch please let me know though!

From what I’m reading, it seems that if you haven’t kept your GT6 install up-to-date with most updates and you try to download/install multiple updates at the same time , errors occur. There are workarounds for getting the latest patch installed on your machine, but it seems a little convoluted: https://community.eu.playstation.com/t5/GT-Sport/Recommended-GT6-Updating-Instructions/td-p/22766000

I actually went looking after talking to you and found the same things. I guess my game is up to date with 1.22 software. I assumed it was not up to date, because they never finished unveiling the gt vision concepts. So I guess I was wrong, but even still, why can’t they finish what they started. They were quick to abandon gt6 in order to push out gt sport even when it wasn’t near ready. Polyphony has the best simulation racer out there, but can you imagine if they were to complete games?!

for various manufacturers not completing their Vision GT design
s. That being said, there have been a few new VGT cars added to GT Sport, like the Iso Rivolta and Audi.
GT6 was released September 2013 and continued to have features added up to December 2015. The online servers were shut off March 2018. I wouldn’t call that quick to abandon GT6. The GT5 servers were shut off after only 3.5 years.

Fair points. If 1.22 is the current version of the game then I guess I am more irritated with consumerism and how consoles are a perfect vessel for feeding it.
