It seems that way, until you find the ditch which is 4-5 feet deep.

About, say, 20 feet to the right of that sign. Somewhere around there?

If you see the Coen brothers with a camera, just turn around and GTFO.

Yeah, probably pretty close.

Could be here:
Looks a little narrow, but maybe just not plowed out. Besides, you look to be driving a big truck, shouldn’t that mean you can just drive over whatever?

I’ve been making Fargo jokes in my head every single time one of these pics goes up.

It’s a two lane blacktop so maybe a little wider, but that’s pretty close.
The truck will go through a lot of things, but one thing it will not go through is a ditch with 5-6 feet of snow.

No passing zone sign tells me it’s not a freeway, so that sign should be roughly 10 feet from the edge of the oncoming lane (give or take) . Open field next to tree line suggests a rural area, so there’s probably only one lane in each direction... s o a dd another 10-12 feet for the oncoming lane, and you should be pretty close to your lane.
(That took longer to explain than to i ntuit.)

I also think of A Simple Plan, which is a fantastic Fargo-esque film from the late 90s. Billy Bob Thornton, Bill Paxton, etc. If you like suspense, it’s about as good as it gets. Holds up really well over time, too.
Plus Gary Cole (the boss from Office Space) is the bad guy, which makes it even better.

It’s clearly in front of you, under all that weird white stuff...

Yeah, two lane blacktop, rural South Dakota, usually a 55 mph road, basically zero shoulder. I did a decent job of staying in my lane but with the ditches full and level with the road, the fresh snow, and being close enough to the first person on the road, plus terrible visibility makes for some fun driving. It’s basically guess work figuring out where your lane is. I followed a bus this morning that pin-balled both ditches for about 4-5 miles . Oncoming traffic is even more fun, you’re both only guessing that you’re in your own lane so hopefully no one is too far to one side or the other because just a little to o far over and you’re getting sucked into a ditch that’s at least six foot deep.

That’s what you hope at least.
