So...I’ve bought this VehiCROSS, which is to say I pick it up next weekend, and now I need to decide what to do with it.
I think the first thing I’ll do is remove the shower handle bar from above the grill (seriously, what the fuck is that even?) , and then probably remove the lower bull bar as well because it ruins the face of the VX. I’ll also remove what appears to be two pieces of tire tread from on the hood there...I’m not sure what happened to this thing’s hood but its a lot and none of it good.
Then, I plan to sit there and look at it for an hour or two because its a VehiCROSS and its beautiful and its MINE.
Beyond that, the VX is going to function as my fourth vehicle and its going to get a light-offroading treatment. The biggest BFG s I can fit without a lift (white letters out or GTFO) , a roof rack with the spare tire up there, maybe some extra lights. Do they make rock sliders for a VX? Apparently somebody does, nice!
I’m not sure I’ve ever wanted a week to be over with quicker in my life.

Congrats on the purchase, always liked these. Amazing how modern they still look, being a 22 year old design.

Man, these things look so cool.
Your plan sounds solid. I think I’d be looking to swap out that hood too, and do something about the exposed fasteners.

I think you're winning at oppo right now

Agreed on the hood...there are two black ones on eBay right now but they’re pricey. As in all things automotive, however, one will turn up.

Can’t believe I just saw one of these on the road and now we have one on Oppo! Too cool. What size tires you think will fit?

Congrats on your purchase! I’ve loved the Ve hiCROSS since when it was on sale. I see them around here every now and then, and I watch CL for them too.

Falken Wildpeaks - great on and off-road (as long as you aren’t going mudding) and available in a bunch of LT ( light truck) sizes
or you could go with General Grabber ATs for that classic look....

I’m also partial to the Cooper Discoverer STTs. It’ll depend heavily on whats available in a good size with raised white letters...I was thinking 285/75/16 BFG ATs because I’ve had them on an FZJ80 Land Cruiser and an F250 and I think they’re some of the best tires I’ve ever had.

I really hope 285/75/16s will fit without a lift, but I’ll have to see whats the tallest tire I can fit.

ARB makes them for it, though I’m told if you use the front it chew up CV joints.

I haven’t see any on the road in a while, its still an event. I think this will qualify as the most exotic vehicle I’ve ever owned, haha.

Supercharged Buick 3800 Series II will bolt right up to the trans.
Just sayin.
