Hmm, your subway looks pretty dated, but I guess MBTA is still operating trains for the late ‘60s (brand new Red Line trains are scheduled to start this year, with a goal of replacing the whole Red Line fleet by 2023).

i was just happy to be able to find a redline train modeled. I think it actually was an orange line when i downloaded it, which i think may still be pretty old.

Yes, I don’t actually see anything that look quite like it (at least in Boston), but maybe I’m missing something. The current Orange line trains are from the late ‘70s, so at least a little more modern (that feels like a ‘50s or ‘60s train). Orange line is getting new trains as well. B ig times for MBTA upgrades, the Blue Line is already pretty moderns, and the Red, Orange, and Green l ines are getting new rolling stock as well (though the Green Line equipment still seems to have an incredibly dated layout).
On the down side, they are planning to replace the PCC streetcars on the Ashmont-Mattapan line:
w ith some of the new Green Line cars (they had previously said Green Line trains were too heavy, but I guess the new trains are lighter, they were having to replace/reinforce the bridges anyway, or they decided they could allow more weight). Shame to see them go, but I guess running heritage trains for primary revenue service is a bit silly.
