I bought a fake ticket to a concert accidentally, but they didn’t stop me from going in. So.... now I wish I didn't buy a ticket at all.

Did they look at the ticket and just not notice it was fake or did they not even check it at all?

They scanned it and it came up as invalid. Then they told me to go to the box office, but somebody else ushered me through the door.

Nope. It was from a ( supposedly legit) reselling site. I’m gonna do more research before I say which site, because it’s kind of embarrassing if I should have known better. But from what I can tell, it was a valid ticket but the guy who sold it had a copy and used it before me. So not exactly fake, I guess.

I once bought a ticket from a FB person and there was a risk of fakes. So they actually checked the conversation on my phone to verify I’d bought from someone who’s name matched the original purchaser. They said that if it all matched but the person had re-sold multiple times, it would go to the first person who turned up.

last time i had a real ticket... they made me go buy meself a coffee and then say pretty please before they let me in

As long as you buy concessions it won’t matter. They already got one ticket paid for it. Might as well try and get some of your money.
