He actually emailed them last year when he was moving and the timing didn’t work out so he let his brother have it for a bit.

I should ask if he's emailed them since, its a rare Volvo.  Thats BAT bait.

Man do I love these. A C30 (T5 preferred obviously) is on my “gotta own this at some point” list. I’ve seen one driving around near my school from time to time- the glass hatch is breath taking.

I think the s 60r /v70r and prior all had good-looking interiors, with lots of interesting “Volvo things”. And modern Volvo interiors look great. Such a unique airy feel. But there’s like a decade in between that just seems meh to me.

Yea that number story is weird.  But I thought the price seemed low too, regular C30s aren't that cheap are they?  In my head it seems worth more.

Used regular C 30s (including R Designs) in Portland and Seattle are often 8-13k, and seemingly always over 10k if stick and low miles. I know this is in Detroit, but that is a legitimately R A R E car, and low miles, desirable. But of course, the higher he lists it, the longer it could take to sell...

I mean all volvos are straight forward, design wise.  Before the the C30 he had a Fiesta, holy crap that thing had the busiest center button area.

This is one of those cars where, much like the G8 GXP, I love it to death in spite of a bleh interior. Though I do like those two-tone seats.

What’s makes a C30 Polestar a Polestar ? Be sides the blue paint and the sticker with a number on it ? More HP, better suspensions, brakes, ... ?

The 2.4i was the same non turbo I5 gas engine as the S40 and V50, making around 170hp.

Wellllll... it is complicated. The Polestar Limited Edition (LE) does, indeed, have the Polestar tune, which you can get on any C30 at the dealer. The 250 Polestar C30s only came in “ Rebel Blue” with black Styx alloy wheels and they only came as R-Design models. All Polestars, except this specific one, come with a small plaque in the dash saying their number. The R-Design means they are a little lowered, have stiffer suspension, quicker steering, and some other cosmetic alterations. Like the Polestar package, you could get a “normal” C30 as an R-Design.

Now allegedly the Polestar also came with a bigger intake and some other stuff, but that is all hearsay from Wikipedia.

Either way, a Polestar tuned, manual C30 is a fun little car.
