Worst auto show ever. Mercedes was represented by the Metris and Sprinter. Das ist all es.

Everyone else had all the crossovers.

Kudos to VW for a) showing up and b) showing off their color palette.

I’ve been to a few regional ones and for some reason Mercedes bmw seem to be oddly missing. I understand the shows aren’t New York or Chicago but they aren’t the boonies.

I go to Chicago every year. This is the first time either of those two skipped it. It’s not as big a deal as Detroit, LA, or NY, but they both sell a lot of cars here.

I was at Boston and when Alfa, and Genesis are there, it really makes you ask “ why aren’t BMW Mercedes? ”. My friend skipped last year w hen he found out Mercedes was skipp ing.

Apparently BMW and Mercedes skipped Detroit too, along with Audi.

Audi was at Chicago- Mini was also missing ( and Tesla isn’t invited because the show is sponsored by dealers).

Shame about MINI, and makes sense about Tesla.  I always assumed it was because they were selling as fast as they could make and don’t need to advertise— but I’m quite sure you’re right.

Apparently Mercedes and BMW ( plus Mini by extension I guess) are cutting way back on auto shows - they seem to think it’s not worth the money and effort. They weren’t in Detroit either.
