In the interests of time I eneded up with, not Petrol Blue Metallic, Emerald Green Metallic or Velvet Red Metallic but Cappuccino Beige Metallic.
Yes I know I didn’t want the green because I thought it would make me look a little too old but the lead times for anything other than the Cappuccino Beige Metallic and Black Magic Pearlescent is 16 weeks (I don’t have that sort of patience). The beige and several black ones are already in the system and can get the beige one in the first week of March.
I’ve asked for the removal of any existing wheels to be replaced with Pegasus wheels like on Piglet, if they aren’t already on.
((the car below is for illustration purposes and not the actual car)).
The only real update is the infotainment screen, it’s now all touch except the two buttons at the bottom corners.

Wait, you’re replacing Pig

I like everything but the color. But if you like it then who cares?

Congrats!
I find that my perception of the implications of colors (colours?) is quite different that yours . . . I mean, a color with the word BEIGE right in the name says old to me, while I would love to have a green option for whatever my next car might be.
Of course, I am getting older every year since my birth more than 4 decades ago , so my opinion might therefore be invalid.

Ye’, she’s three years old in March , will have her first MOT, the estate while only being 35 litres bigger will mean I can put a dog cage in the back as my sister’s and step-brother’s dogs have done a number scratching the interior plastic surfaces, etc... and as I can’t not let them in the car without the family shouting how unhelpful I am, ya dda yadda yadda. The way families make you feel shite for even thinking no to what they are asking (families hey, who’d have them).

Cheers mate, it’s not exactly what I want but the Superbs are getting more popular so the waiting times have doubled over the last year or so and I don’t have that sort of patience.

That looks great. I like how clean the front end looks, in contrast to the overwrought spaceship styling of most cars these days. And l ook at all the space in the trunk, er , boot!

lol understandable
long as your happy with it :)

Very nice!
Bummer about the wait time.

Started off the Skoda love with the Superb Mk2 estate in Silver Brilliant Metallic.
Went to the Su perb Mk3 li ftback
So now it’ll be a mix of the two.

Ye ‘, the beige is an old neutral colour but I can get it in less than a month as opposed to 16 weeks.

I’m as big fan of Peuguots new cars and the Skodas. Having never seen/been in them, it would be hard for me to choose which I would want.

I like the recess under the headlights (it doesn’t go anywhere) that makes the headlight look like it’s suspended in the air.

Buying a car in USA is so much easier. Stocking only 2 colors? Wait 16 weeks to buy a car? Unless I’m after some very specific color or option, I can walk into just about any dealership for any brand and buy a car in an hour.

Thanks. It’s essentially the same vehicle, 35 litres more capacity in the boot, different colour, updated radio and same engine though classed differently (the 1.4TSi ACT 148bhp is now called the 1.5TSi 148bhp).

I have that screen in my GTI, and other than they have been known to crack(my loaner Tiguan had a cracked one), they work flawlessly.

Very cool! Is this a MQB based vehicle, it looks like it from the interior, but I could be wrong. Estates FTW!

This is how I’d order mine!

Beautiful. Thats a huge boot.

16 weeks?!?! Yeah I’d have struggled with that as well.

The comfort and rear legroom is that of a limousine.
The size is not much if at all bigger than a VW Passat (which it shares it’s platform, engines and transmission with).
The 1.4TSi ACT engine turns 50mpg (UK) in the town doing city driving and on motorways.
It looks great too.
The Peugeot equivalent would be the Peugeot 508SW.

Di d you get the estate?

Ordering Piglet, we were in the dealership for 32 minutes and out again, then the 8 week wait.
The Superb is selling great so new build cars having a 16 week wait.
The two colours are black (common for taxis) and this beige one that someone pulled out of the order and still in the system (get another discount because Skoda can get it out of the way).

The current one in Piglet can be prone to lag on cold days until the car warms up.
It’ll be inter esting to see how this plays out as it’s the only real change to the car.

Yes, it’s MQB, shares the platform, engines and transmission with the VW (Euro) Passat and VW Arteon.
It’s a really fantastic car. Better looking than the Passat, more spacious than the Passat and cheaper than the Passat.

Ye’, I’d love that one. That colour is only available on the Sportline spec which is £1,300 more and comes with alcantara sports seats as opposed to the leather in the SE L Exec.

They crack? And your Tiguan had a cracked one?!?
![]() 02/08/2019 at 13:31 |

660litre capacity.
The Mk2 had a slightly smaller boot but could still easily take all of my car cleaning stuff.
![]() 02/08/2019 at 13:34 |

Ye’, it used to be between six and eight weeks but the car is selling incredibly well.
It’s a VW Passat essentially but much better, for VW Golf prices.
![]() 02/08/2019 at 13:40 |

Yep, getting the estate.
Maybe four weeks time.

Very cool! I always love seeing vehicles we don’t get here in the states. Looks like a stellar choice!

Yep, from the inside.
![]() 02/08/2019 at 14:46 |

Thanks, I’d of liked another colour but the lead time of 16 weeks, no thanks.

Oh my jebus .

It’s a good looking car, and I like the estate form factor on this. But I will miss Piglet.
What will you name this one?
![]() 02/08/2019 at 16:45 |
|
I don’t know yet.
Piglet got her name because the licence plate read PX16LYY.
I thought it looked like pigley and it turned to Piglet.

Well, you’re going toward the brown end of the spectrum, so how about Pooh?
:D
(Yes, I am proud of myself, thank you very much)

No, no, no. Just no.
Go to your corner.

Yeah. You can’t really see it except from the side, though.
