This is the best boat I’ve ever seen. This is where my money would go if I had it. Oh man I want it.
The only bummer is that I can’t find out if its CE certified for open water.

Yacht certification for various levels of open water...ness
A Class A yacht ( boat ) is a vessel that is built to navigate the open ocean and surpass a force 8 on the Beaufort scale and surpass waves higher that 4 meters. These yachts are constructed to be self sufficient in hostile seas.
A Class B yacht ( boat ) is a vessel built to navigate on
the offshore waters (200 miles and less) and can substain UP TO force 8 and
waves UP TO 4 meters.
A Class C boat is a vessel built to navigate inshore such
as lakes, rivers, bays and close to the shore and can sustain UP TO force 6 and
waves UP TO 2 meters.
A Class D boat is built for protected or sheltered waters
such as canals, rivers, small lakes and sustain a force 4 and waves UP TO .3
meters (less that 1 ft).
I mean, they ARE CE certified because they have to be, but they don’t say to which level.

I vote for the Sabre Yachts 66.

I have spent a few weeks on a Sabre 42 and a little bit of time on a 48. Made in Maine and pretty damn nice.
Vicem is an overseas manufacturer, I think.

I used to live in Newport, RI where I worked for a marine construction company running a tug and a lobster boat. I had a 100 ton captain’s license and some experience with d iesel maintenance and general know how of diesel systems. I also had a buddy with a really successful landscaping company. I was unemployed and he was taking his 42 Sabre from DC to Newport and wanted someone with experience to join him. We took 8 days to get up there and then I stayed a few days in Newport on the boat. At the end of the summer I flew back to Newport for the return trip which was going to take 4 days and ended up taking 8 because we got weathered in in Connecticut for four days.
The boat was amazing. Twin 500hp Yanmars, exceedingly comfortable, nice sound system, cold AC with separate controls in all three cabins, amazing woodwork, etc. He kept it for about 6 years and then upgraded to the 48. The 48 was a different animal and he cruised with his wife and young daughter for two years and then ran out of time so he sold it. I only spent a few afternoons on that boat but it would do 32 knots and was incredible. All with a joystick.
I get to spend my summers on a 22 Tripp Angler Flush Deck Cuddy. Which is a lot of words for a little downeast boat with a full keel and a 4lha-Stp Yanmar. It’s not quite as nice as the Sabre...
