I am still working on improving my photography skills, so this past weekend I thought it would be fun to go down and shoot some cars at the Virginia Beach Cars and Coffee event.
I would love feedback on these photos, especially from a group of folks who, like me, basically just stare at cars all day anyway.
It was my first ever Cars and Coffee, and I was surprised what a diverse group of cars that it drew. I can’t wait to go again.

Thank you, I’m still learning as I go but I thought they turned out pretty good . I would love to try my hand at light painting next, but I need to find some cooler cars to practice on than my dumpy Civic or beater S-10.

Where in VA Beach is it, and how often do they hold it?

They meet up in the convention center parking lot on the first Saturday of every month. Although, I think they occasionally may move it to the first Su nday instead . I only found out about it by chance when I stumbled across their Facebook page.

Your photos are well done, so much that I am ashamed at the photos that I shared on Saturday. Did you do color saturation alterations after taking the originals?

Yeah I did a little tweaking with lightroom to all of them, but for a few of those like the the 911 and the Accord, I was just in the right place a t the right time and the sky just looked incredible.
I was actually a bit bummed because those clouds all burned off after about 30
minutes and after that
it was just a clear blue sky with direct sunlight... which is a lot harder to shoot in.

Cool. I’m in the Richmond area. C&C is biweekly there, but I’m usually working when it’s going on.
