I don’t know the price, but it looks really nice and is only a block from my house.

Lincoln Town Car, believe it’s a 78 or 79. 19.5 feet of pure American luxury!

I don’t know - weather was too shitty today for me to get out of the car and take a close look at it. But I can walk over tomorrow and find out more if you’re interested.

If I get a car like this, I will only ever drive it while wearing a Captain's  hat and having a corncob pipe hanging out of my mouth.

I would love to own one of these. Think they'll take a non-running Chinese dirt bike in trade? Prolly not :)

Well, if it was good enough for Douglas Fairbanks Jr.

Prolly not is right. Not sure about this one, but it appears that the market is in the $ 9-12k range for these in nice shape.

Where in the country are you? I’m always interested in a nice boat. The question will be if I could convince my wife selling the truck to buy it is an acceptable idea (most likely not).

Chicago suburbs, southwest of the city a bit. Can look at it if you’re interested. My guess on price is around $10k give or take based on what I saw for similar on autotra der (I was looking for an ad for this car but struck out)

Thanks for the offer but I was already asked if I was nuts for considering getting rid of the truck for it.

Maybe I can find a way for it to follow me home. Then we have to keep it. Right???

Right at the ideal time of year to be sleeping in the driveway.

I believe the median age of  Lincoln buyers back then was somewhere in the mid 50s, which was still about 10 years older than Mercedes and BMW customers.

No plan is perfect...

You could drive it to Florida! Should fit in well in Boca or The Villages.

These have gone up quite a bit in the last decade.

I saw a handful in that range when I looked, and that was just for the nicest examples out there - which this appears to be as well.

I’m sure there is plenty out there with a few minor flaws for half that.

If you like malaise era cars ( I do not) the Town Car is the epitome of malaise luxury, so I can see the attraction.

I do like a lot of ma laise era cars, but I have a particular affinity for these Lincolns, as I had a neighbor growing up who had several of these. Back when they were dirt cheap.

There’s a house on Clarendon Hills Road between 63rd and Plainfield that used to have 3 of these in the driveway. Think he’s down to 1 now.

This car is just off of 55th between CH Road and Cass ( across from Tracy's).
