I am going to air some grievances tho... spoiler alert!!!!!
1. Lukes X-wing is older than a Buick 225 but apparently still works fine after being submerged in an ocean for 15 years.
2. How did the rebellion ships fly so easily around on the sith planet when the first order ships needed a navigational beacon to tell up from down?
This is just a start please air your grievances below.
General Grievance.

The first order ships need the beacon because they are far less maneuverable than the smaller rebellion ships.

My biggest annoyance: The only superweapon shown is only used to destroy a planet.
They’re far more creative coming up with new ways to “rebrand” or otherwise rename the sith’s government than they are to come up with new weaponry (or uniforms for that matter).

X-wings used to require an astromech to go to hyperspace, and tie fighters couldn’t do it at all both Rey and Ren didn’t seem to mind though.
Kylo Ren is redeemed because he felt bad when his mom died, killed his own men, then revived Rey. Whatever, Vader was space Hitler and they forgave him so at least there’s precedence. I was very upset that Rey kissed him though, at most she could’ve stuck to a forehead kiss but no, full on deep kiss.
Whatever, it’s done. The Mandalorian was better than all the new movies, they should just stick to that.

Of all the things the kiss was really, really, really the worst.

This is just a modern rehashing of the return of the jedi. So re branding is expected.

Also, why are there only two total nav beacons then if they are so crucial for the entire damn fleet. Might as well have dozens of them and actually protect the things. At least the death star flaw was intentional thanks to the designer and required crazy skill and the force to pull off the destruction . This shit was just lazy and made them sitting ducks.

There has to be one fatal flaw easily exploited. This one is just too dumb tho, we have thousands of ships ready to wreck havoc but only send out one at a time?

j edi ghosts can interact with the physical world through the force, and are already dead so risk nothing in battle, and there are many many ghosts now, why are they not fighting all the wars instead of living jedi?

Force ghosts don’t really have your back.

I’m ok with the rebranding of the “governmental” side. T o me, it shows the universal truth of the difficulty of completely stamping out evil.
But that planet exploding
weapon mounted to a star destroyer?
Based on the already established attempts at world destruction, a weapon like that
should require much more power and support than a star destroyer should provide. (Plus, there were way to many of the damn things, Palpatine
was prepped
for a galaxy wide extinction).
It would have been an easy fix too! Instead of blowing up the planet, leave a massive crater that causes tsunamis, or use massive heat blasts ro glass a large portion of the surface, or have an EMP that kills every bit of tech and droid on the surface. There’s plenty of destruction that is just as scary as completely blowing up a planet.

Of all the planet killers I think the death star is the most realistic rendered in film in the star wars universe. It took the power of a sun to power star killer base... so your point is valid. Such a huge plot hole.

yes. agreed. they do not. thus my complaint. they SHOULD be doing all the work.

I thought the movie was enjoyable in a decent story line, action and acting is good kind of way. I have issues though with some of the decisions they made, and how this clearly walked back on TLJ. In no particular order.
Of course Rey had to be someone, of course /s/s/s/s/s I liked the idea so much better when she was truly a nobody.
What the hell is up with the kiss? Sure there was a connection there, but it sure didn’t feel romantic. And yeah, Ben eventually did the right thing, but the dude did super terrible things. Oh well, all is forgiven in an instant to create a forced romance that was meant for no-one.
Palpatine, great, this guy again? Guess we can’t come up with any new and creative villains , lets just re-hash the same tired old decrepit villain and just hand wave any explanation as to how he survived, and just make him the secret puppet master for all of the dumb decisions made in the last two movies.
Poor Rose, she was never my favorite character, but she clearly had A n important role in the last movie and it was distractingly obvious that she got shafted in this movie.
I have others but can’t remember them all off hand.
I went into this Star Wars trilogy excited, and ready for a fresh Star Wars trilogy meant for me (too young to have seen the OG when new, young enough to remember the prequels, but not really comprehend, the right age to fully relate to and appreciate the new trilogy), I thought Ep 7 was decent but clearly a rehash and a little unimaginative, Ep 8, despite some issues I loved, and loved the direction it went, and the direction I thought it would continue, but Ep 9 absolutely ruined everything for me. I’ve been wanting to re-watch the older episodes on D+ for the last week or so, but haven’t been able to do it, because now I know how it ends, and I just can’t get excited for it.
Long live Rouge One, ROUGE ONE FOREVER!!!

agreed, it was good. It’s Star Wars, not academics. People take shit way too serious these days to enjoy anything.

I like this better than TLJ, and rogue one is most def my number 1.

Yeah Rogue One and Mandalorian are all I really like since the original trilogy. If only they did as good a job with the rest of it, what a trainwreck!
