How bad is it to insure one?

Good question, I can’t access my insu rance policy right not to get the specific breakdown but I pay 296/mo for my 2015 WRX (paid off) & my wife’s 2018 Civic Hatch (financed ) . Full coverage , uninsured/under insured coverage, PIP, rental car, etc . I used to pay ~ 350/mo for both but then my wife turned 25 and I paid off my car.
Actually going though my records, before we bought the civic and she was in her C amry we paid 265/mo but she had liability only.
I live in H ouston though, and car insurance rates are pretty high here (lots of uninsured drivers and flooding ). We both have clean driving records although I’m still under 25, so ymmv.

T hat’s ‘scrimination!
My insurance actually went down a little bit when I got the WRX, (which honestly was completely unexpected...)

Insurance is a very weird business.

Why am I not surprised the list is composed of flat bill bros with Monster stickers?

I kind of bet that the reason Subaru Impreza is on that list is because of mis-labele d Impreza WRXs.

Whaaaaaa.....
I’m still under 25
Ah, yeah, makes sense.
I’m paying ~$140/month for the Corvette, Cube, renter’s insurance, and extended care insurance. So there are a couple benefits to getting older I guess...

That’s doesn’t sound too bad all things considered compared to what I pay. I have similar coverage and pay $170 a month for my 2011 Camry and just turned 25 i n October.

Damn, I really like them but wonder if I’d be able to afford one used, then add more expensive insurance and it gets steeper.

Keep in mind that does include a full coverage financed 2018 Civic, but yeah they get you when you’re young.

No kidding. I don’t miss those days at all. I was driving an S2000 in my early/ mid 20's, and definitely recall paying a fortune every month between the loan and the insurance.
