I got myself a bunch of Hinchcliffe and Daly merch from the Indy end of season sale and my sister sent some Harry and David’s pears. That’s it. (Also, I’m bored out of my mind right now).

My wife gave me a DeWalt brushless drill/driver/circular saw combo kit which is pretty sweet since my old Craftsman C3 stuff is starting to get pretty long in the tooth.

Husband of Fhrblig got me a bunch of stuff from Duluth Trading Company, which I love. I got a new pair of jeans to replace the pair I ripped, a long-tail T with their angry beaver on it, some underwear, work gloves, and this awesome and comfy hoodie:

Have you ever ordered from Duluth Trading Co.? Their stuff isn’t cheap, but it’s all worth the money. The jeans tend to last me 3-4 years.

I’ve mever really considered trying them, I have my own clothes sources I like and I generally don’t order them online. I like to try stuff on in the store. It ’s a hassle to order thin gs only for them to not fit.

My awesome gf got me a load of stuff from Duluth Trading, including a long-sleeve version of the T shirt you mentioned and a union suit (hooray for butt flaps). I’ve been a devotee of Duluth Trading since earlier this year, and am a proud owner of 4 pairs of firehose work pants.

For the past few years, my gf has given me a Hot Wheels advent calendar (in my post history). This year, she changed it up and did chocolate and booze (50ml bottles). 12/24’s booze was Macallen 12-year Scotch. I’ve never tried it before, and am scared to because I don’t want to like it and then start an expensive Scotch habit. The Bourbon habit is expensive enough.

I know that feeling for sure, but I’ll tell you Duluth Trading is the first place where I’ve never had that problem. They recently opened stores in my area, and it looks like there’s one in Boston though I guess that’s not all that close to you.

I haven’t tried the firehose pants yet. The Buck Naked underwear is great, but it’s so expensive that I haven’t bought any more.

I keep trying to like bourbon but I just don’t. It’s scotch all the way for me. I think the Macallan was ok, but it didn’t floor me. I love Balvenie though.

I told my wife I was going to propose to her in the parking lot of bed bath and beyond so we could walk right in and register for ours. 12 years in and it still works same as day one.

I bought myself a storage barn kit. Construction shall start Friday.

The best gift, though, is a family photo with my mom. We had a semi- professional photographer who took them, then promptly lost them for 8 years or so. There were some circumstances and she’s a friend of ours, so we weren’t too put out about it. It’s great that she found them!

Other than that, some new shirts and whatnot. I’m just happy to be home and not working for a couple of weeks.

My wife has been a huge help in the shop working on our Grand Vitara. She has seen me struggling with my 30 year old impact wrench. (Needs a rebuild, I can’t find parts for it, and it was only 350 ft-lbs when new.) Being the thoughtful woman that she is, she got me this! 1000 ft-lbs of ugga dugga!!!
